Selling cheap tyres

A lot has changed in the city since I last saw it two years ago. I left the country to start a job in Germany, and I have just returned as I have been offered a better position back home. During the time when I was living abroad, I only came home for a couple of days, for Christmas and Easter. I didn"t even have much time to meet my friends, let alone look at the city. Now I can see that it looks almost completely different. I mean, some shops are still there, which means that they still have a lot of customers. There was once a shop with cheap tyres next to my old school. Now it has changed into a big car service centre. Next to it, there"s a petrol station and a modern car wash. The city centre has changed a lot, too. It looks much more modern, with all these escalators and renovated bus stops. One of my best friend who has never moved out of the city, and always had problems finding a job here (the unemployment used to be really high), has recently started working for the company who used to sell cheap tyres and is the modern car service centre today. I must say that he was really lucky. This job is really good for him. And now we are going to work near each other. I am just about to start working as a lecturer in the old school that"s next to the centre.
