A lost baby blanket

I remember the day very well. I was three years old at the time, and my mother had decided to take me to the kindergarten. I knew perfectly well what that meant and I was extremely stressed out. She would leave me there with all those kids and I would not be able to see her for ages. I cried a lot on that day and I refused to part with my favourite baby blanket. It was a green blanket with a cartoon character on it. I liked it so much that I always went to bed with it and played with it during the day. My mother was perfectly aware of the fact that I felt really uneasy so she let me take that blanket to the kindergarten with me. When she left the place, I felt unsure of how I should behave. There were all those children and the ladies looking at me all the time. I was standing in the corner, holding my favourite baby blanket. But soon other kids approached me and I got interested in their toys. There were cars, dolls, rubber balls and lots of other items. They were all so fascinating that I soon forgot my blanket. I finally lost it and the kindergarten teacher couldn"t find it. But I guess that I had already got used to the new conditions and I didn"t cry at all. Well, kids can adapt quite quickly. This is one of the most vivid childhood memories that I have.
